Today was a relatively routine day. Went to school, did boring stuff.

I am a total failure in tennis. In the entire lesson my racket only managed to touch a moving ball 2 times.

English lesson was also slightly more interesting as we were watching a movie on the biogrpahy of michael jackson. It was highly entertaining watching the way he interacts with little children (don't get the wrong idea).

Then i went for my first re meeting with dr nikolai at IMRE. Compared to zhao jin, our previous mentor, he was infinitely more engaging, though he has a tendency to ask me hard physics questions and sometimes i cant hear what he's saying due to his accent.

We were handling some large and scary looking machine called a MOKE system. Magneto-optic Kerr Effect. Do you understand this? No? Well i don't too.

Edit: This was supposed to go up yesterday but my dad stopped me from blogging halfway through this post.

Using the machine was very fun because after dr nikolai left us alone in the lab, we started playing pinball on the comp for collecting results.

Got home around 8pm and stoned around before going to sleep.

DAMNDAMNDAMNDAMNDAMN I MISSED THE ECLIPSE!!!

Went to visit my cousin in the morning. I taught my dad how to play taiti (spelling?) and all thanks to me we won about 10 bucks gambling. Wanted to meddle with sparklers, but it was raining and any bombs we made would not light.

Im now at another relative's house and another cousin is looking over my shoulder watching me type.

Going to watch 40 year old virgin tonight. Its nice to know that mediacorp has pulled its head out of its a** and started showing proper shows.

Friday can be summed up in one word.

WTF.

I wonder if thats a word.

RI cny celebrations was rather retarded since chev, aaron, moi and a bunch of other random dudes camped in a corner of the hall playing psp throughout the entire assembly. Meaning we had absolutely no idea of what happened, apart from a breakdancing nian monster thingy (actually shien hian lol).

School ended at 10 so yunfei and daniel randomly crashed my house for 1 hour. Most of the hour was spent playing guitar accompaniment to some of the songs on yunfei's hp (fail) and watching daniel struggle with a 5kg dumbbell weight. Then we crashed yunfei's house, i read some stuff on failblog.org while yunfei played bleach on my psp, conveniently draining away most of the battery. Daniel and i then ditched him for the next 2 hours and went back to rosyth.


Rosyth CNY was more fail. HAlf the teachers pontang and teh whole place was so uncoordinated daniel and i left halfway to throw a paper aeroplane into a certain someone's house, more commonly known as CLOUDING xD. TG then dragged me and daniel to some random jap karaoke place.


Turns out the random karaoke place is called Cash Studio and its somewhere in the middle of nowhere i.e. Orchard Road. Chev and i did a totally randomly cover of michael jackson's beat it while the rest just sang jap songs in turn. Not very entertaining. eventually i pangseh-ed them to go for eunice's birthday celebrations.


In essence, i went to see people i hadnt seen in over 6 years. It was much less awkward than i expected.


One thing i can gather about eunice and azel: they are extremely indecisive. We spent 1 hour walking around deciding where to eat, and another hour walking around aimlessly after dinner. Dinner also killed my wallet and i now owe yunfei 4 bucks.


We stoned around in starbucks and got eunice a small slice of cake which everyone shared, ending up in 2 bites per person.

I'm feeling rather high right now cos there are quite a few interesting things happening this week.

I have managed to log into the school internet cos now they have a cool system to use your NRIC to login. So i can now go online in schoolon my own comp.

Oh and btw im coming to you direct from the Ri anal lab. Don't ask. And russ wong behind me says hi as he breathes down my neck to go see his blog.

And i will be going back to mfps this friday to see people i havent seen in 6 years. How nice.

I am going to defy the school rules and eat an oreo in the anal lab. I feel rebellious.

Today, after seeing nguyen's cute new toy, i went to buy and equip my phone with a little zangetsu keychain from comics connection. After ripping the keychian part off and hooking a chain to it, it now dangles proudly from my phone strap.

Unfortunately my phone is proving to like it very much and has taken to poking me with it when i put it in my pocket. I will punish my phone by confiscating the keychain if he keeps poking me.

Today was shooting trials again. This time a lot less sec1s showed up though. I was randomly helping them to take their heart rate. Some didnt know how to find their pulse, so i gave a quick tutorial.

"Ok first you look down your thumb. Can you find a BIG JUICY VEIN? Put 2 fingers on that big juicy vein. Can you feel a throbbing?"

Some guy got a heart rate of 44 beats per minute. The guy should technically be in a coma.

Then they have to run around the field to get their heart rate up to measure the second time.

" Ok now guys, think sexually arousing thoughts to raise your heart rate....just joking"

Then aaron came. And he decided to shoot for fun. He shot very well fo a total complete noob, an 8 and a 9.

After that, as i was oiling the guns, i felt very random and threw a pellet can into the range. Then i shot at it and it bounced into the air. Soon almost all the other guys were taking potshots at the pellet can and watching it bounce around the range. Mr Ng did not really seem to care.

Aaron has brought home his card and the pellet can after we retreived it from the range. Pictures on his blog.

I am tired after profiling, so i ponned training in the evening. I hope i don't get caught. If not Mr Ng will clamp my nipples in the vice clamp in rjc range like he threatened to do to wei shuen.

Let's talk about friday. Yes i'm very lag.

The Raffles Trail was held on friday, which is basically this cca fair where all the ccas put up a booth somewhere in school for the sec1s and their parents to come and look and decide what cca they want to go to. Shooting was once again very popular for the following reasons:

-Guns and guys go very well together
-Halo music was playing in the background which made everyone think there was an Xbox in the room.

But seriously, sec1s ask retarded questions.

Sec1: (looks at picture of enormous scope mounted on gun) Is that a bazooka?

And their parents are equally bad.

Parent: (looks at shooting jacket) Is your equipement bulletproof?

Profiling starts tomorrow and i hope i dont get anymore stupid questions or complaints. Or i use my awesome sec powers and pump the whole lot of them.

Its a good day to slack.

Except that i have too heavy a commitment to accomplish. I have to make the powerpoint picture slideshow for tomorrow's raffles trail. Which is going to be flashed on screen while sec1s walk past it going ooh aah.

I'll be using halo music for this slideshow, so there will be the occasional sec1 going "hey thats halo 2/3 lol!!" and go looking for the xbox which sadly will not make an appearance. So there.

Today we went to build sandcastles at east coast park for some wierd Castles Can Fly program. So we decided to challenge the building process.

You know those enormous buckets used to carry rice or water? We were given a few of those to store seawater in. Instead we buried our bucket in the sand and used it as the foundation to build our tower. And it ended up as the tallest structure built that morning.

One intructor told us that it has never worked in his many years there and that it would not work. Well to bad now he owes us all a free drink.

After going back to school i decided to stick around and poke fun at teh sec1s during their orientation camp. They were doing the "walk of initiaion" where they use their shirts as blindfolds and walk around the school holding on to each others shoulders. So i took off my shirt too, broke into the line everytime they lagged behind and led them into the toilet, the drum kit on stage (which i proceeded to play loudly and scare the shit out of them) and the dining hall kitchen.

I had a lot of fun shouting at them while attempting to teach them the batch song as well. I now have quite a sore throat.

Well today was the first day of school.

Alll our teachers remained the same except for philo and ss, which is a good thing. Oja left and was replaced by yet another african philo teacher.

But this means another year with niu yi and cck. :(

And i loaned my psp to aaron where it will stay with him until the end of term 1. He already got high on it today in school.

Nobody was paying any attention at all during principals assembly today because it was given by that new woman which is now our PRINCIPAL instead of our HEADMMISTRESS. All the other something-headmasters or headmistresses are also changed to something-principals or deans of something, with the exception of mr mag.

So he can go around saying things like "haha i'm a senior deputy HEADMASTER and you're a something-PRINCIPAL and like my title sounds ten thousand times more cheem than yours!"


Anyway, after that was FT interaction with our new(old) FT, mr eddie chua. He is so slack that we spent most of his lesson playing bridge (which he discouraged) and djmax on my psp (which he DID NOT discourage).

And 4H now suddenly wants me to be CEC for some obscure reason. Almost a unanimous decision.

On monday we're going to east coast park to build sandcastles for some wierd cohort bonding activity. But aaron will be away at sec1 orientation camp cos he's a psl. And he will be bringing along my psp to suan and/or rent to the sec1s for exceedingly high rates.

I can't wait for shooting tryouts to begin so i can bully a large number of completely unfamiliar sec1s for no reason whatsoever.

Poorer. I think i spent waaay to much in 2008, mostly on enormous amounts of food and the many spontaneous movie outings.

Play guitar. If i played well enough maybe i would stand a better chance of getting an electric guitar.
