Today has been quite a fun day.

Apart from the fact that i totally screwed up my shooting competition by shooting a 530. Argh. And the rest of my team mysteriously dissappeared just before the prize presentation, so i had to go collect all the medal for them.

Today has been a complete waste of time.

I went to IMRE today in home clothes cos SOMEBODY forgot to tell me i was supposed to turn up in school uniform. Then when i enter the seminar room the lecturer chased us out because apparently my group did not fill up some form that we so conveniently did not receive.

Bureaucracy, thou art a heartless bitch.

Next was a trip to the HR department where we stoned till dr nikoali came and pulled us to his office to fill up that elusive form.

"Raffles always messes things up" I agree with dr nikolai on this.

Then we went to the lab to take some measurements. I left at 12 something to go back to ri for my bio poster presentation.

I had to go home to get changed and and grab my stuff. Long and uneventful bus journey. Then when i got home it started raining so bad i could'nt leave the house again.

So right now i am blogging while hoping that the rain will stop in time for my shooting training. I'm taking part in a competition tomorrow and ponning school again.


On a slightly less depressing note, i am ponning school on monday and tuesday as well. This is because the workshop i was supposed to go for today will be shifted to monday due to the forms and other processing stuff IMRE has to do.

Today i cut my finger while dismantling a liquid crystal display from dr nikolai's standing thermometer. He then proceeded to apply first aid in the following order:

-Swab wound with incredibly flammable and painful propan-2-ol.
-Cover wound with scrap of filter paper.
-Wrap large amounts of masking tape on finger, limiting most physical movement.

The masking tape was actually my idea.

Today i was doing odd jobs for the Singapore Maths Project Festival held at RI.

I call it odd jobs cos i was supposed to be the assistant/backup emcee for the event, but weilun the emcee didnt fall mysteriously sick or get hit by a truck. Hence my job was mainly to pass the mic to the judges when they wanted to make comments. Not in my job description was to smile sarcastically like an idiot, but i did it to everyone anyway.

I also conclude i look way too formal and wierd in a blazer. Wierd in a good, nerdy kind of way.

After reading mish's post, im begging to wonder what would happen if aaron and i were to board together as roommates.

Most of our time will probably be spent staring mindless at our computers waiting for our eyeballs to pop out due to electrostatic forces coming from the monitor.

There is a 10% chance that we will have our comps on and running while we mug and do other random stuff. The other 90% is the chance that we will have our comps on and running, doing random stuff and NOT mugging.

I'll be late for school everyday. Cos aaron will camp on msn all night waiting for someone to talk to him.

This all sounds very prospectful. Except that RI network blocks out the most innocent of websites like the wikipedia page for pubic hair.

Today's training was very fun, mostly because we were throwing all sorts of random stuff into the range and shooting at them, completely ignoring the target cards.

I think my study plan would have worked a lot better if i actually knew what was graded and what was not. Grrr.

Today was not a very fun day. My recess was eaten up by siak peng and re presentation rehearsal. I forgot to hand up my maths assignment during recess (refer previous sentence). I forgot to do the hometask dr nikolai set for us. And my psp casing has suffered more extensive damage.

It looks like i'll be slightly depressed for a while.

Ok i think i have my new study plan figured out.

Do most of my homework in class. Chinese is TOP PRIORITY. If its optional or isn't graded, ignore it. Anything i miss out in class revise at home. If so unlucky the homework gets confiscated, then i have an excuse not to hand it in.

Any time before shooting use to do some homework that was not completed in class.

Where possible, give crappy yet unrefutable excuses to skip events so i can mug at home.

I think i might not follow the shooting part so strictly. But i seriously need to get my A1 for chinese this year. So i'll have to do whatever i can given the incredible lack of time.


Today i shot a 531/600 for my shooting competition. Personal best score!

I'm not feeling depressed anymore thanks to this.

But i have a chinese compo due tomorrow. And i haven't started.

I'm feeling depressed again.

Today is valentines day, and i' feeling very depressed.

I woke up again this morning to find a tangle of wires and the lonely mouse where my computer should be again.

My mom was yelling about how i completely waste all my saturdays and not do anything productive. Well, its not my fault there's tuition right? I want to quit it, seriously.

On a less depressing note, I'm now in a band!

It was hastily formed last night at 11pm on msn. Its basically tg, chev, aaron, daniel and me. They were bored and decided to form a band. I was just minding my own business and feeling depressed when they decided to rope me in too.

So now we're thinking of performing at the rosyth 25th anniversary or something crazy like that. Even more of my time eaten away.

But at least it will be something i enjoy, unlike chinese tuition or RE meetings.

Time to come clean.

About a month ago i promised mish a hundred cranes for her birthday, today.

But i never really got started until the end of last week. So today i'm still short of 62 cranes. And the only thing i had to give her for her birthday was a pathetic apology.

I broke a promise to a girl. I hope nothing big and heavy will fly in my general direction for this.


A few days ago, Siak peng said this:

"Oh...I think i'm stupid"

Finally, a confession.

Today was a relatively routine day, apart from the horrible discovery of the fact that my weekend is completely ruined because of chinese tuition and shooting competition.

Seriously, i think my chinese tuition is a big waste of time. It eats up the entire afternoon and dumps extra homework on me. I am coming home at 9pm almost everyday cos of RE and shooting and already don't have to mug or do any schoolwork (explains the crap test results).

Tomorrow is valentines day, but the only person I am spending it with is the tuition teacher. I feel depressed.

Also, i injured my leg today during shooting. I still cannot figure out how i strained my leg muscle while standing completely still for about 3 hours.

i have only 66 more cranes to fold. And i have to do this all by friday. Oh no.

Today siak peng did an extremely fun lab session where he detonated thermite. It was spectacular, sparks flying everywhere and the milo tin catching on fire. Siak peng says this is a good way to rob banks. He gave me a piece of alu oxide (byproduct of reaction) as a souvenir and a reminder that he can be sometimes less nerdy than usual.

I came home about 9.30 all thanks to daniel chua's new training schedule. The new schedule is so screwed up that in the 3 hours i spent at rjc i only fired 20 rounds. Coupled with my new re mentor schedule it means i come home everyday at least past 8pm. WTF?!

In other news, An came to school today with a hitsugaya costume he bought for $138. So yunfei tried it on just as niuyi came into class, and everyone started laughing at him. Later we started borrowing sections of his costume to wear in class for fun. I will put up pictures some other day.

I forgot to write about something else that happened on friday. It involves president yeo.

After the CNY dinner, we were all feeling very high. So we hoisted up dear president yeo and carted him off to the swimming pool to dunk him in.

He was struggling all the way, and just as we were about to throw him in the swimming coach caught us and made us release him.

Bad choice of words.

But we let him go, and we resolve to dunk kirk on founder's day.

This is going to be a very long post, cos i have been coming home at least past 8pm every day, making me too tired to touch my comp. And my mom has now randomly decided to confiscate my comp and only let me use it when she's at home. Imagine what happened when i woke up this morning and found the comp table occupied only by a mouse and some wires.



Anyway, we had a sheep's eye dissection a few days ago during bio lesson. There was only one eye available, so only one guy was allowed to the dissection, which was projected onto the screen. Yours truly was the lucky guy.





The people crowding around me kept saying "mehhh" or "baaa" whenever i made a cut in the eye.

Yesterday i participated in a chiese new year dinner held for old folks in RI. It was quite enjoyable cos the old folks i interacted with were very fun. I was a buddy, which means i have to stay at an assigned table and interact with the old folks and eat good food. They had sharks fin and abalone and whatnot. I suspect its all fake, if not i would definitely be paying more than just $5.


Half way through the dinner, russ wong suddenly armlocked me and then daniel tried to take my shirt off. They nearly succeeded when a teacher came along and OWNED the 2 of them. But my right hand got injured while i was struggling.


Dinner ended at around 9.30pm and i got home around 10. Very tired.


And i still have to fold 100 paper cranes for a certain someone as a birthday gift. It must be very convenient for conspiracy theorists that her birthday is just before valentine's day.

This happened about one week ago.


During CNY celebrations in school, a bunch of us were really bored. So we found this bak kwa paper bag lying around in class and each of us took turns to put it on and take pictures.

Today i have made a new discovery. Let me outline the events leading to this great discovery.

I was at my cousins house and we had bought a hell lot of sparklers. So i took 5 and decided to conduct an experiment.

You know how trigger happy people like me play with sparklers? Make a guess.

I put the coin under the [removed so i wont get arrested] and lit it.

To my great surprise, THE COIN SURVIVED.

Hence I conclude that chocolate coins are not for human consumption.

Please do not try this at home.


I'm now at my cousin's house celebrating my great grandma's birthday, and i'm just typing this to pass time till my other cousin gets here so we can experiment with some pyrotechnics.
